This week and for the next 30 weeks, we will take apart your business and work on each part in 3 week blocks. In each 3 week block we will IDENTIFY, ANALYZE and then IMPLEMENT changes to make in each part of your business that WILL yield results GUARANTEED!!
If you participate and follow along each week, applying small changes and tweaks to your business model/operations, you will see BIG results in increased profits for your business. Even if you can - or only choose to try one or two of the 3 weeks blocks, you will see positive results GUARANTEED!
We will be analyzing the following areas of your business:
1. INCOME / REVENUE streams
2. PRICES / COST of product
3. SALES / LEADS programs and methods
4. What your Business OWNS and how to maximize that
5. What your Business OWES and how to minimize that
6. MARKETING
7. EXPENSES - Facilities and other costs and how to minimize those
8. PRODUCTION and OPERATIONS
9. HUMAN capital - how to minimize the cost of Payroll and Managing Employees/Contractors
TODAY! We will work on ANALYZING the Leads and Sales Programs and Methods you IDENTIFIED last week. NEXT week we will Implement changes based on the items you have identified so we can start MAXIMIZING your business profits!
This week's topic Leads and Sales Programs and Methods involves the Methods used by your business to process leads and the Sales Programs or Methods used by your business. We will also talk about making CHANGES to your Leads or Sales Programs or Methods and adding NEW ones!
ANALYZING the Methods and Programs that you have identified is our goal this week. The purpose of the analyzation is to have all the information needed to make an educated decision on what changes to implement next week.
IN THE NEXT WEEK: Spend one hour the first time you sit down, and start detailing out the methods and programs you have already identified. For the following 4 days, spend 1/2 hour each day OR just block out a 2 hour period and focus on this to get it done in one sitting. Your goal will be to carefully analyze each of the parts and sub-parts in order to identify items, systems or methods that need to be changed or modified in some way.
LEADS: Every business has "leads" or "sources" of clients or sales. Is your business doing targeted marketing and focusing on a certain client base? Or does your business depend upon retail traffic and your product or service is wanted by the general population? Finally, does your business depend on "accounts" with one or more wholesale or retail businesses? Go back and utilize your LIST that you made for the income and revenue streams in Week #2! List each of the revenue streams and write down WHERE the leads come from in order to grow or maintain each revenue stream. Many businesses have more than one "place" to obtain leads.
SALES METHODS: Write a paragraph for each METHOD your business uses to make a sale. Once again, utilize the LIST that you made in Week #2. Answer the question for each REVENUE SOURCE - "what METHOD or METHODS are used to make a sale for that product or service?"
SALES PROGRAMS: Describe in detail each PROGRAM or SYSTEM your business uses on a regular basis to sell and deliver your product(s) or service(s). Be sure to include all the parts of each program or system and each player in that part. One suggestion would be to "MAP" out (use a flow chart or similar tool) what happens from the time a LEAD is obtained and each activity that happens and WHO is involved in each part all the way until the DELIVERY of the product or service to the customer/client.
CAREFULLY ANALYZE: Carefully analyze your leads methods and the "path" the leads take from the time they come in until they become a sale or are eliminated. It may be very helpful to create "process flow charts" for the purpose of visualizing your work flow. Next, analyze the METHODS used in your sales department and any sales PROGRAMS used to make sales, manage clients or follow up for referrals or additional sales or orders. A SALES "flow chart" or "workflow process map" will help with this.
Remember: This week we are ANALYZING your Leads and Sales Programs and Methods and all of the METHODS, PROCESSES and BUSINESS SYSTEMS associated with how this is currently done in your business. This is meant to be an exercise that helps business owners/managers ASSESS the current methods and programs and "problem solve" new or more efficient methods or systems to improve your workflow and sales.
NEXT week we will work on how to IMPLEMENT changes based on the list you have made this week.
